Cruiser
Cruiser riders don’t have to put up with poor suspension! Whether you ride a Softtail or a Boulevard, and everything in between, we can make your motorcycle handle. Harsh riding forks and rear shocks that just seem dead do not have to spoil your ride.
|
Our range of fork Travel Control Valves (TCV’s) will take away the mushy feel, giving a firm, yet plush, supported ride. Couple these up with the right springs for your weight and you will be rounding up your mates on sports bikes in the twisties. |
For the rear we have replacement units from Ohlins, Hagon, Ikon and Progressive suspension depending on your needs and budget. We won’t just sell you anything, we will get it right for you. |

Y.S.S. shocks come with different features like adjustable compression, remote reservoirs, teflon coated sinter bushes or the revolutionary bladder rebound technology, ride height adjusters, hydraulic spring tension preloaders and hard chromed shafts. Most of the Y.S.S. mono shocks come with a piggyback reservoir made from a solid piece of machined aluminium with adjustment screws for low-speed and high-speed while others are available with casted mounts for reservoirs, without reservoirs, reservoirs with hoses, billet-milled reservoirs or billet-milled 90 degree reservoirs. Able to handle custom setups and offered in a variety of styles with many options, they are available for any bike you can think of.
Y.S.S. AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD. is located in Adelaide, South Australia, and was established by Walter Preisig. Walter has been developing racing suspension for over 25 years, and his company uses only quality materials and the latest wizardry in suspension technology to manufacture world class gas shock absorbers. They have a wise philosophy too: "It's unwise paying too much, but worse paying too little. By paying too much, you loose a little money. By paying too little, you could lose everything, because what you've bought was incapable of doing what it was bought for. The law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it's well to add a bit for the risk you run and if you do that, you have enough money to pay for something better."
Ohlins suspension, the most advanced in the world, and the best for you. With more adjustments and individually set-up for each rider, they can give your motorcycle's suspension the perfect setup.
Since starting in 1976, the focus for Öhlins Racing has been on becoming the obvious choice for those who want a shock absorber that goes beyond the run-of-the-mill shock absorbers, and that surpasses the highest of standards.
Everyone realises that different shock absorbers are needed for motocross and touring. However Öhlins Racing go much further than that, having developed specially designed shock absorbers for enduro, supermotard, dual sport, cruiser, sport, hypersport and racing as well. Every shock absorber they produce is a technically advanced product with respect to performance, precision, quality, endurance, safety and reliability. This is one of the key factors that lie behind their race successes. Another key factor is their continuous development process.
They currently have a long list of patented solutions for technical applications and improved functions. Solutions that will benefit you, regardless of what you ride.
Our licensed workshop is equipped to carry out any suspension servicing and modifications. Our fully trained and qualified technicians will look after your suspension as if it’s their own. We can rebuild sealed unit shock absorbers usually for a fraction of the cost of replacement, our in house machining centre makes light work of custom parts for special jobs. We also have an engine and general service department, so while your motorcycle is here for suspension work we can carry out service work such as brake pads, valve adjustments and top end rebuilds.

We started out trying to change the specification of the standard internals (re-valving) many years ago, but you get a limited result if the original piston and valve design is a compromised design for reasons of cost and mass production. So a few years ago we started to look at other designs from some of the factory Forks and Shocks we see, and the "no compromise" approach, and began designing parts for stock suspension that overcame the cheap designs and quality control problems. We are able to use different internal parts for different applications and rider types, and that’s where we have been able to make huge impacts on a rider's feel, confidence and speed. We do all the CAD design in house and use our sponsored riders to test the products. Then we test the products on our shock dyno and make sure we are getting the right results. A lot of our customers complain about the harsh feeling they get from stock forks and the resulting arm pump. That is one of the main areas the kits address. We are always looking to lessen rider fatigue and increase mechanical grip.
