Motorcycle Shock Body Retaining C-Clips

There are many sub-assemblies connected to a shock absorber body and they all need to be attached securely. Not all rear shocks can be disassembled though - find out if it can be rebuilt in our FAQ on servicable shocks.

The nitrogen bladder & cap need a wire snap ring to get snapped into place in the piggyback section of the coilover - you can find these same stopper rings in the gas bladder retaining clips section.
The shaft oil seal case needs a c-clip to secure it to the bottom of the damper too - you will need a seal head depressor to push it down so you can pick the wire ring out during a rebuild.

Tough but thin spring steel sitting in finely machined grooves means they hold strong pressure when installed properly, it's just so fiddly getting them in & out during a rebuild - let alone seated! When you're servicing your bike's shock we carry replacement OEM parts for both KYB & Showa motorbike suspensions.
