Motorcycle Suspension Electronic Testing Tools

Taking your motorbike suspension seriously means measuring a lot. What spring rate do those forks or shocks have? Not what the manufacturer says the ballpark figure should be - what pressure are the coils actually making at what height? We regularly see OEM springs give measurements all over the place, sometimes due to poor quality control, sometimes it's just what a smaller factory could get their hands on in bulk on time, sometimes they update a specification slightly during a production run but don't want to make things complicated, sometimes they probably just forget to update the technical data sheets from last year. If you have a digital spring tester, you aren't guessing - you know for sure.
To remove the compression springs in the first place try Teknik's Fork Spring Compressor at the front, and at the rear use our Shock Spring Compressor.

Another measurement that you're doing all the time is sag height. See our Road Bike Setup Guide or our Offroad Bike Setup Guide to understand how crucial your sag is - if your springs give you too little or too much sag, much of the damper travel you need to absorb force is gone before you even leave the driveway. It can be measured with effort, a ruler and a friend, but what if you could check it using electronics without getting dirty all by yourself? Maybe you want to test a few different pillion or luggage scenarios? It's now quick and easy and more accurate.

We offer the best electrical scales and testers, whether it lives in your workshop, bolts to the side of your motorcycle or plugs and scans at the side of the road via your OBDII port!
