Showa Motorcycle Shock Absorber Rebuild Kits

Showa are one of the biggest suspension companies in the world, and most of their factory motorbike coilovers can be rebuilt, so when your shock components are worn out you can rebuild them yourself. We stock genuine servicing sets that include the normal consumables inside a shock absorber, including a gas bladder, seal head, bumper, piston band and rubber o-rings. Buying the overhaul kits saves money and time, but each of these repair parts are available as individual parts or full assemblies in our other categories.

We are Australia's official distributor, so we carry all the reliable quality Showa gear you will ever need. While you are repairing your shocks you will occasionally need specialist Showa Specific Suspension Tools. Remember that we have fresh genuine Showa shock fluid (and a range of other performance lubricants) for your regular oil change too.

Please be careful while removing & refitting the spring - we have all seen the DIY hacks and resulting injuries. And since you are overhauling the rear suspension, don't forget your shock links either - if the damping is there but the suspension travel feels stiff or sticky or crunchy, try servicing your linkage bearings. There's no point having a freshly serviced damper if the link it's bolted to is harsh and jolting.

Maintaining your OEM rear shocks is made easier with our complete DIY packs, but don't forget you will need to regas your shock after fixing it - check out our regassing tools.
