Hydraulic Preload Adjuster (HPA)

If you carry different gear on your adventures, sometimes a pillion passenger, sometimes solo — with all those weight changes — you should be adjusting your spring preload to suit. It's far more comfortable plus safer too — see our Offroad Setup Guide or matching Road Setup Guide for instructions.

Fast, on-bike preload control for changing loads

Adjust spring preload quickly by hand without crawling into tight chassis spaces
Threads onto TracTive shock bodies like a traditional castellated spring nut
Hydraulic pressure expands or contracts the spring seat for fine tuning
Available as a remote mounted knob and reservoir on a fluid hose, or a combined single-unit HPA assembly
Ideal when traditional preload wrenches are hard to use — see our preload wrenches

Recommended Pairings

Consider matching HPAs with Suspension Tools for installation and on-trail adjustments.
