The TracTive X-TREME fork cartridge kit for BMW R1200R/RS replaces the original fork internals with a closed, pressurised cartridge design for more consistent damping and control on sealed roads. The sealed cartridge architecture helps reduce aeration and keeps damping behaviour stable across changing conditions. This kit is intended to retain standard ride height.

Design & features

This kit uses a pressurised, closed-cartridge layout to manage oil flow in a controlled way, supporting predictable feel through braking, corner entry and mid-corner corrections. It is aimed at riders who want a more composed front end without changing the bike’s intended geometry.

Tuning Controls

External adjusters provide separate compression and rebound damping adjustment for targeted tuning. Manual preload adjustment is also included to help set sag for rider weight and typical load.

Base Setup (factory preset)

The cartridges are supplied with a baseline setting intended as a starting point. Set preload to achieve appropriate sag first, then fine-tune rebound and compression in small steps to balance support, comfort and grip.

Before You Install

  • Confirm your exact BMW R1200R/RS model compatibility before installation.
  • Installation requires fork disassembly and correct fluid handling; suspension workshop fitment is recommended.
  • After installation, re-check sag and front-end balance to suit your typical riding load.

Serviceability/Lifecycle

The cartridge kit is fully serviceable to support routine maintenance and long-term use. Periodic servicing helps maintain consistent damping performance over time.

This TracTive product has been assembled with the utmost care and tested according to ISO9001:2015 Quality system. In the unlikely event that the product does not fulfill your expectations because of faulty materials or manufacturing errors, please contact us through your dealer.

Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd warrants that if, within 24 months of the date of sale the product is found to be defective as a result of manufacturing errors or faulty components, the product will be repaired free of charge by us, or by a TracTive approved repairer at our discretion.

Warranty covers the direct service material cost, service labour cost ($80/hr AUD) and shipping costs of the service partner. Other costs will be regarded on a case by case basis by Teknik Motorsport and TracTive.

 When a claim is made under the warranty, the following conditions have to be met:

  • You must have read the instructions carefully before mounting the product in the vehicle or adjusting the product.
  • The product has to be installed and adjusted as described in the instructions
  • The product must have been maintained and serviced in accordance with the recommendations in the manual. If not described in the manual, the recommended service intervals for regular street use: every 30.000 km or max 2 years, whichever is earlier.
  • Warranty shall apply only when TracTive original parts, procedures and tools have been used to service and/or repair, and if service and repair is performed by designated TracTive partners.
  • The product may not have been neglected, improperly used, altered or subjected to excessive loads. Excluded from warranty are normal wear, damage and rust.
  • A sales receipt or other proof of purchase originally eminating from Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd. No warranty will be given on TracTive or Touratech products not purchased from or through Teknik Motorsport pty ltd.
  • Excluded from warranty are in particular products which are used in vehicles that are intended or suitable for taking part in sporting events, or have actually been used this way.
  • Recommended service interval for Motorsport applications: every season, or every 50 hours, every 10.000km or after any perceived loss in performance.
