The TracTive BMW R 12 G/S Fork Cartridge kit X-TREME replaces the standard fork internals with a closed, pressurised sealed-cartridge damping system for more consistent control and feel. This kit also reduces front ride height, helping riders achieve a more manageable stance while keeping the fork behaviour predictable across changing surfaces. The sealed, gas-pressurised architecture helps minimise oil aeration for steadier damping during sustained use.

Design & features

This is a complete fork cartridge kit built around TracTive’s closed, pressurised sealed-cartridge design. By separating and controlling the damping oil within the cartridge, the system is designed to deliver consistent response and improved stability compared with open-bath style arrangements, particularly when the fork is working continuously over varied terrain.

Tuning Controls

Dual damping adjustability is provided: compression and rebound adjustments are available for tuning support and recovery behaviour to suit rider preference and conditions.

Base Setup (factory preset)

The kit is supplied with a baseline setting intended to work as a starting point. From there, fine-tune compression and rebound in small steps to balance support, comfort, and front-tyre feedback for your typical load and riding environment.

Serviceability/Lifecycle

The cartridge assembly is serviceable and intended for long-term use with periodic maintenance to keep damping performance consistent over time.

Before You Install

Confirm the desired ride-height outcome before installation, as this kit lowers the front end.
Installation requires fork disassembly and correct reassembly procedures; use appropriate tools and follow model-specific workshop practices.
After installation, verify front-end geometry and perform a careful test ride before further tuning.

Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd Warranty terms for TracTive products.

This TracTive product has been assembled with the utmost care and tested according to ISO9001:2015 Quality system. In the unlikely event that the product does not fulfill your expectations because of faulty materials or manufacturing errors, please contact us through your dealer.

Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd warrants that if, within 24 months of the date of sale the product is found to be defective as a result of manufacturing errors or faulty components, the product will be repaired free of charge by us, or by a TracTive approved repairer at our discretion.

Warranty covers the direct service material cost, service labour cost ($80/hr AUD) and shipping costs of the service partner. Other costs will be regarded on a case by case basis by Teknik Motorsport and TracTive.

When a claim is made under the warranty, the following conditions have to be met:

You must have read the instructions carefully before mounting the product in the vehicle or adjusting the product.
The product has to be installed and adjusted as described in the instructions
The product must have been maintained and serviced in accordance with the recommendations in the manual. If not described in the manual, the recommended service intervals for regular street use: every 30.000 km or max 2 years, whichever is earlier.
Warranty shall apply only when TracTive original parts, procedures and tools have been used to service and/or repair, and if service and repair is performed by designated TracTive partners.
The product may not have been neglected, improperly used, altered or subjected to excessive loads. Excluded from warranty are normal wear, damage and rust.
A sales receipt or other proof of purchase originally eminating from Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd. No warranty will be given on TracTive or Touratech products not purchased from or through Teknik Motorsport pty ltd.
Excluded from warranty are in particular products which are used in vehicles that are intended or suitable for taking part in sporting events, or have actually been used this way.
Recommended service interval for Motorsport applications: every season, or every 50 hours, every 10.000km or after any perceived loss in performance.
