Overview

This conversion kit replaces the WP AER48 air fork system with a traditional coil spring and cartridge setup, with compression damping in one leg and rebound damping in the other.

The result is a more stable and consistent fork with reduced maintenance requirements and improved rider confidence.

Each kit includes the following components:

  • Optional Eibach coil springs (selected to suit rider weight)
  • Installation instructions

Spring Rate Recommendation

This kit uses a 44 x 660mm fork spring. Suitable options include:

Teknik 43.5x660, Eibach 964, HiCalibre 19-173, Eibach 928

Application Notes

These recommendations are a guide only. Fork spring selection depends on rider weight, speed, and riding style. For example, a 72kg professional rider may require a stiffer spring than indicated due to higher corner entry speeds and impact loads.

All rider weights referenced are without riding gear.

For veteran or C-grade riders on 450cc machines, a softer spring rate than standard may provide improved comfort. For example, a 90kg rider may achieve a plusher ride using a 0.96 kg/mm spring.
