DR650s have proven to be a reliable workhorse of a bike but some parts are starting to become scarce. When we couldn’t buy genuine replacements for the often gouged, pitted and corroded shafts that came in on exchange shocks we took it upon ourselves to make our own.

We went through multiple iterations of steel, coatings and heat treatments until we were satisfied. What we have now are DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated 4140 chromoly steel shafts.

So, what does that mean? Well, they’re just as strong as OEM and the coating is almost 3 times harder, so they’ll last and look better for longer. They’ve also been ground and polished to a surface finish of 0.08mm Ra so they’re almost as smooth as glass which means less seal drag and stiction.

And here’s the best part. Because we make them ourselves, we can skip the middle men and offer you these factory level shafts at a bargain price.

Also, my mum says they look pretty cool!
