Originating from The Netherlands, TracTive Suspension are known for their superior quality, all their products are created for long distance, including World Touring, road/gravel where the wheels never leave the ground deliberatly. This is applicable in Europe and the US but not for adventrous Australian riders. We know what Australians do to adventure bikes, the settings aren't ideal for Australian terrain if you slam through culverts, launch off erosion mounds deliberatly. Even the X-Treme PRO versions are not set-up for luggage and adventure riding where the wheels leave the ground deliberatly. Certainly riders like Pol Tarres don't use a Rally Raid (made entirely by TracTive) shock in its as delivered specification, the rally reams suspension specialists set it up for him, its more than turning a clicker.. 

That’s where we come in! With over 25 years of experience stemming from off road, Australian Safari winning Honda XR650R's, 15 years of working with Greg at Ride Adv and more suspension testing equipment than many manufacturers have, we've developed a range of settings tailored specifically for Australian conditions. These TracTive by Teknik artriges and shocks are ready for bolt-in fitment, offering enhanced performance and a smoother ride on Australia's rugged landscapes. Any TracTive shock can become a TracTive by Teknik. Only the Suzuki DR650 and Yamaha Tenere XT660Z shocks come from TracTive with our settings. 

Whats in a Tractive By Teknik?

  • Revised compression and rebound settings.
  • Additional compression piston added (Fork cartridges)
  • New shock steel main piston in some cases (alloy is stock).
  • Teknik designed and manufactured rebound needle (shock)
  • LS and HS compression adjusters replaced or revised
  • Felt seals in end eye bearings. (shock)
  • Replacement of end eye bearings with heavy duty version in some applications (shock)
  • Reseal of rebound adjuster mechanism. (Shock)


These are not simple mods where a few shims are replaced. we have been carrying out this work for some years on TracTive / Touratech / Rally Raid suspension where the owners were not happy with stock performance so we carried out the work and R&D  at our own cost. We have decided to change this from a reactive state to proactive to avoid disapointment when purchasing the product. 12 month warranty applies to our work, as always, with a lifetime warranty on performance.
