Factory suspension systems don't suit every rider. Maybe you want the reliability of a traditional pair of oil & coil spring forks instead of those leaky new-fangled air forks. Maybe you've already got killer racing forks setup perfectly, but your bike's engine popped... and there's another powerful motorbike sitting there with a different fork manufacturer... hmmm. Some tuners just like to stick to what they know works, but attached to a new motorcycle - research & development is slow & expensive after all. Whatever your reason for grafting in a completely different brand of fork legs, they won't just slide in without wrecking the original geometry - you need an adaptor bracket between that suspension & front wheel. Custom billet axle feet to the rescue.

Italian offroad racers TecnAllMec have felt the same way, but developed CNC machined anodized brackets for specific conversions - new forks in the frame but running the same safe factory rake & trail measurements.
