The Lainer Suspension check valve is a fork damping component for WP fork systems, using an M6 x 0.50 thread. It is used to control oil flow within the damping circuit as part of routine servicing or a rebuild. Supplied as a single piece.

Inside the System

A check valve is a one-way flow control part within the fork’s damping assembly. When it is worn, contaminated or damaged, oil flow control can become inconsistent and may affect damping behaviour.

Serviceability

  • Replace when: the valve is damaged, shows wear, is sticking, or you are renewing critical internal damping components during a fork rebuild.
  • Do not replace when: the existing valve is clean, undamaged and functioning correctly during an inspection—unnecessary replacement can introduce fitment issues if the thread or seating surfaces are not identical.
