Motorcycle Chassis Bearing & Seal Kits

Motorbike frames all have suspensions attached using bearings to make for friction free travel. At the front of the chassis is the steering head, which needs angular bearings top & bottom to keep smooth cornering for the forks. At the rear of the frame are roller bearings for the swingarm and/or linkage, plus needle or spherical bearings for the upper & lower attachment points of the shock absorber.

These critical turning parts keep everything running smoothly and often get neglected during servicing - if your suspension feels crunchy and jittery, it may not be the damper or spring, it may be time to replace the suspension link bearings. Grease leaks through perished rubber seals, and breaks down in it's ability to lubricate over time, letting in water and grit which disintegrates the steel bearings. Remember to check and rebuild them regularly - see our bike maintenance article. The smoothest suspension with the finest tuning is useless if it's generating friction bolted to a rusty clunky worn mounting bearing.

If your steering stem bearings are fresh, you've torqued them correctly, and you still want more control over the handlebars response you can get a steering damper. Keeping you in line by absorbing force from sudden deflections like rocks or tar joins, and more importantly stopping death wobbles at speed, you can adjust the resistance to suit your bike and riding. We have a range of mounting clamp kits for attaching them to the chassis and triple clamps.

We offer complete bearing & seal kits with all the needed bushes, caged or sealed bearings, races, o-rings, collars, tubes, spacers, retaining c-clips.
