Motorcycle Shock Body Top Bearings

Rear coilovers mount to the motorbike at two points - the bottom bolts to the suspension link (for a monoshock) or the swingarm (for twin shock bikes) - on top the shock body yoke attaches to the chassis. These bushes & bearings keep the travel action smooth but need regular cleaning & maintenance.

The shock absorber mounting assembly can be quite basic - just a metal sleeve bushing - or it can be a complex group of different parts, with outer collars, rubber o-rings, inner bush, needle bearing cage or spherical bearing, dust & grease seals, retaining c-clips, outer sleeve, fastener bolt & nut. Yes all those components on the upper eye, then again at the lower end clevis!
