Motorcycle Suspension Rod Guide Bushes

Rod Bushes

All rebuildable suspensions need basic shared parts — teflon lined shaft collars or acetal rod bushes to hold sliding tubes concentric without too much friction, steel or brass ring bushings with a friction-less coating to slide over the main shock shaft, plus locknuts, o-rings and refill springs used across forks and shocks. These rod bushes help prevent seal wear and piston scoring; find fork and shock sizes here and in our Seal Case Bushing section.

Keep shafts concentric, reduce wear and preserve damping

  • Maintain shaft alignment inside the damper to prevent side-load wear
  • Teflon/acetal inner lining for low friction sliding
  • Prevent seal failure, piston bore scoring and premature coilover replacement
  • Essential workshop spares for every rebuild

Recommended Pairings

Consider matching rod bushes with our Suspension Tools. For related parts and guidance see Valving Shims, the Shim Factor Calculator, rear linkage maintenance, lock nuts and fasteners and our suspension fluid weights table.
