The Tractive X-CITE shock for the Suzuki SFV 650 Gladius is a closed, pressurised mono-shock designed to provide consistent damping and control across a wide range of riding conditions. Its internal architecture uses a sealed cartridge concept to maintain stable oil flow and reduce fade as temperatures and workloads change. This unit includes spring preload adjustment to help set sag for rider weight and load.

Design & features

  • Closed, pressurised shock design for more consistent damping behaviour
  • Oil/gas separation using an internal separation piston (not an emulsion design)
  • Single-shock configuration suited to road and general sport-touring use

Tuning Controls

  • Rebound damping adjustment
  • Spring preload adjustment

Base Setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with a factory baseline tune intended to suit typical street riding. Fine-tuning is then performed via the rebound adjuster and by setting preload to achieve correct sag for your rider weight and any luggage or passenger load.

Who is this for?

  • Riders wanting more controlled chassis behaviour during everyday road use
  • Owners who adjust settings for different loads (solo, luggage, passenger)
  • Riders who prefer a straightforward setup with rebound adjustability

Before You Install

  • Confirm fitment for your exact SFV 650 Gladius model and year before installation
  • Set preload and rebound after installation, then re-check sag once the bike has settled
  • Inspect linkage bearings and mounts during installation so the shock can work as intended
