The Tractive X-TREME fork cartridge kit for the BMW F 900 GS replaces the fork’s internal damping components with a dedicated, closed and pressurised cartridge system. This architecture is designed to keep damping behaviour consistent as conditions change and the fork works hard. The kit is mechanically adjustable, allowing you to tune the front end to suit load, terrain and riding style.

Design & features

This kit uses a closed, pressurised cartridge design, which helps reduce damping fade and improves consistency during sustained use. By separating the damping system from the outer fork volume, oil flow control is more predictable and the fork response can remain more stable over a range of conditions.

Tuning Controls

The kit includes dual damping adjustment, giving you control over both compression and rebound behaviour to better match the fork to terrain and riding pace. Mechanical preload adjustment is also provided to set sag for rider weight and typical load, helping maintain intended geometry and balance.

Before You Install

  • Allow time for correct setup of preload and damping after installation; initial settings are a starting point, not a final tune.
  • Plan to set sag with your normal riding load (gear and luggage where applicable) before fine-tuning damping.
  • Professional installation is recommended if you are not experienced with fork disassembly and cartridge replacement.

Serviceability/Lifecycle

The cartridge kit is fully serviceable, supporting routine maintenance and rebuilds to keep performance consistent over the long term. A serviceable design also means wear items can be refreshed rather than replacing the complete system.

This TracTive product has been assembled with the utmost care and tested according to ISO9001:2015 Quality system. In the unlikely event that the product does not fulfill your expectations because of faulty materials or manufacturing errors, please contact us through your dealer.

Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd warrants that if, within 24 months of the date of sale the product is found to be defective as a result of manufacturing errors or faulty components, the product will be repaired free of charge by us, or by a TracTive approved repairer at our discretion.

Warranty covers the direct service material cost, service labour cost ($80/hr AUD) and shipping costs of the service partner. Other costs will be regarded on a case by case basis by Teknik Motorsport and TracTive.

 When a claim is made under the warranty, the following conditions have to be met:

  • You must have read the instructions carefully before mounting the product in the vehicle or adjusting the product.
  • The product has to be installed and adjusted as described in the instructions
  • The product must have been maintained and serviced in accordance with the recommendations in the manual. If not described in the manual, the recommended service intervals for regular street use: every 30.000 km or max 2 years, whichever is earlier.
  • Warranty shall apply only when TracTive original parts, procedures and tools have been used to service and/or repair, and if service and repair is performed by designated TracTive partners.
  • The product may not have been neglected, improperly used, altered or subjected to excessive loads. Excluded from warranty are normal wear, damage and rust.
  • A sales receipt or other proof of purchase originally eminating from Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd. No warranty will be given on TracTive or Touratech products not purchased from or through Teknik Motorsport pty ltd.
  • Excluded from warranty are in particular products which are used in vehicles that are intended or suitable for taking part in sporting events, or have actually been used this way.
  • Recommended service interval for Motorsport applications: every season, or every 50 hours, every 10.000km or after any perceived loss in performance.
