The Tractive X-TREME Fork Cartridge kit for the BMW F 900 GS replaces the standard fork internals with a closed, pressurised sealed-cartridge system for more consistent damping in demanding conditions. This kit is intended for adventure and off-road use where predictable front-end support and control matter over long, rough sections. It is also supplied in a raised-height configuration to increase ride height and ground clearance.

Design & features

This is a complete internal cartridge conversion built around a sealed, pressurised closed-cartridge layout. Keeping the damping oil under pressure helps reduce cavitation and supports more stable damping feel as conditions change across a ride. The components are designed as a matched system to replace the original internal damping parts in the forks.

Tuning Controls

The kit includes external adjustment for both compression and rebound damping, allowing you to tune support and wheel control to suit terrain, speed, and load. Mechanical preload adjustment is also provided to set sag for rider weight, luggage, or a passenger, helping keep the chassis balanced.

Who is this for?

Suited to riders using the F 900 GS for mixed-surface travel who want a more controlled front end on corrugations, rocky climbs, and braking zones. It also targets riders who specifically want additional ground clearance via the raised-height configuration, while retaining compatibility with models equipped with the Enduro Pro package.

Before You Install

  • Plan for correct sag setup during installation, as preload and damping adjustments work best once the bike is balanced front-to-rear.
  • Start from the baseline settings provided with the kit, then make small changes one at a time to isolate the effect of each adjuster.
  • Confirm fitment for your exact model and package (including Enduro Pro) prior to booking workshop time.

Serviceability/Lifecycle

The cartridge kit is fully serviceable, allowing routine maintenance and rebuilds over its working life. Regular servicing helps maintain damping consistency and protects internal wear parts when the bike is used in dust, mud, and sustained off-road conditions.

This TracTive product has been assembled with the utmost care and tested according to ISO9001:2015 Quality system. In the unlikely event that the product does not fulfill your expectations because of faulty materials or manufacturing errors, please contact us through your dealer.

Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd warrants that if, within 24 months of the date of sale the product is found to be defective as a result of manufacturing errors or faulty components, the product will be repaired free of charge by us, or by a TracTive approved repairer at our discretion.

Warranty covers the direct service material cost, service labour cost ($80/hr AUD) and shipping costs of the service partner. Other costs will be regarded on a case by case basis by Teknik Motorsport and TracTive.

 When a claim is made under the warranty, the following conditions have to be met:

  • You must have read the instructions carefully before mounting the product in the vehicle or adjusting the product.
  • The product has to be installed and adjusted as described in the instructions
  • The product must have been maintained and serviced in accordance with the recommendations in the manual. If not described in the manual, the recommended service intervals for regular street use: every 30.000 km or max 2 years, whichever is earlier.
  • Warranty shall apply only when TracTive original parts, procedures and tools have been used to service and/or repair, and if service and repair is performed by designated TracTive partners.
  • The product may not have been neglected, improperly used, altered or subjected to excessive loads. Excluded from warranty are normal wear, damage and rust.
  • A sales receipt or other proof of purchase originally eminating from Teknik Motorsport Pty Ltd. No warranty will be given on TracTive or Touratech products not purchased from or through Teknik Motorsport pty ltd.
  • Excluded from warranty are in particular products which are used in vehicles that are intended or suitable for taking part in sporting events, or have actually been used this way.
  • Recommended service interval for Motorsport applications: every season, or every 50 hours, every 10.000km or after any perceived loss in performance.
