The pair of coil springs in your forks are rated for an "average" weight rider. If you are heavier, lighter, carry a pillion or luggage, ride different terrain or want firmer support you may need a different spring rate than the OEM. See our spring selection article and our FAQ for guidance. We stock multiple spring brands and sizes, with linear (straight) rates and progressive rates. Fork springs are specified by outer diameter (in millimetres) and free length (in millimetres) — use the Fork Spring Search to narrow results.
