The pair of coil springs in your forks are rated for an "average" weight rider. If you are heavier, lighter, carry a pillion or luggage, ride different terrain or want firmer support you may need a different spring rate than the OEM. Fork springs are specified by outer diameter (in millimetres) and free length (in millimetres) — use the Fork Spring Search to narrow results.
