The Ohlins BM504 STX 46 Street rear shock is built for the BMW R 1200 RT, targeting controlled, consistent damping for road use. Tuning controls

This unit provides external damping adjustment for both rebound and compression, allowing you to tune how the rear responds over bumps and during acceleration/braking transitions. Adjustability is intended to help match the setup to rider preference and typical luggage/passenger use.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting as a starting point. From there, fine adjustments to compression and rebound can be used to balance comfort, support, and stability to suit your conditions.

Before you install

Confirm the application is correct for your BMW R 1200 RT and rear mounting position.
Inspect linkage and mounting hardware condition during installation.
After fitting, re-check fasteners and confirm the bike sits and moves through travel smoothly.
