The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for the BMW F 800 R is built to deliver controlled, consistent damping in everyday road riding. Tuning controls

This shock includes external rebound damping adjustment, allowing you to tailor how quickly the rear returns after compression. Spring preload adjustment is also provided to help set ride height and balance for rider load and typical use.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins base setting intended to suit common street riding conditions. Use this starting point, then fine-tune rebound and preload to match your tyres, load and preferred chassis attitude.

Before you install

  • Confirm the application is for BMW F 800 R and rear mono position.
  • Set sag/preload first, then adjust rebound damping in small steps based on road feedback.
  • After installation, re-check fasteners and clearances once the suspension has been cycled through its travel.
