The Ohlins BM149 TTX 36/TTX 39 Adventure front shock is developed for BMW GS Adventure and Rallye models used in mixed on-road and off-road conditions. It is built to deliver controlled damping and consistent feel across changing surfaces, especially when the bike is loaded for travel. Designed as a front mono shock, it focuses on stability and rider confidence without compromising comfort.

Shock design & features

This is an Ohlins TTX 36/TTX 39 Adventure unit for the front position. It uses an oil/gas separated layout to maintain damping consistency during extended riding and under heat. The assembly is intended for demanding conditions where stability matters over long distances.

Tuning controls

This shock includes rebound damping adjustment and compression damping adjustment, allowing you to tune feel for terrain changes and load. Spring preload adjustment is also provided to set ride height and support for luggage or a pillion.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins base setting as delivered from the factory. This provides a starting point for general adventure and touring use, with adjustment range available to refine comfort, support and control to suit your riding.

Notes for fitment: for water-cooled models, an ESA version can trigger a warning light in the display; this does not affect the bike’s performance. Confirm application against your motorcycle variant prior to installation.
