The Ohlins KA503 rear shock for the Kawasaki ZX-6RR is a dedicated track-focused unit developed from Ohlins road racing suspension practice. It is built to deliver controlled damping response and clear chassis feedback for consistent handling. Fitment and tuning should be approached with the bike’s overall balance in mind.

This rear mono shock is part of the Ohlins Supersport shock family and is intended for performance road and track use where repeatable damping control and serviceability matter.

Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised shock with separated oil and gas to help maintain damping consistency during hard use. The piston architecture is designed for stable pressure control and predictable response through the stroke.

Tuning controls

Rebound damping adjustment
Compression damping adjustment
Low-speed and high-speed compression circuits for more targeted control across different inputs
Ride height adjustment to support chassis geometry tuning

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting intended as a safe starting point. Fine-tuning should be performed methodically, with changes made one at a time to match tyre choice, rider load and track conditions.

Confirm compatibility with the Kawasaki ZX-6RR and your linkage configuration before installation.
Check clearances through full suspension travel and ensure correct orientation of the adjusters.
