The Ohlins STX 46 Supersport rear shock for the Yamaha TZR 250 is built around a race-derived damping layout intended to deliver clear feel and controlled chassis support. It is designed to maintain consistent damping behaviour during sustained, demanding use. This unit is supplied as a rear mono shock application-specific to the TZR 250.

Developed from Ohlins racing experience, the STX 46 Supersport platform focuses on predictable control and repeatable tuning. The aim is stable damping response so you can assess grip and balance changes with confidence.

Shock design & features

STX design with oil and gas separated to support consistent damping performance.
Rear mono shock configuration for the Yamaha TZR 250.
Supplied with an Ohlins spring fitted to suit the application.

Tuning controls

Rebound damping adjustment.
Compression damping adjustment.
Ride height adjustment to help refine chassis attitude and geometry.

Base setup (factory preset)

This shock is delivered with an Ohlins base setting intended to provide a safe starting point. From there, adjust rebound and compression in small steps to match tyre choice, track surface and rider preference.

Before you install

Confirm the shock is matched to your exact model and linkage arrangement before fitting.
After installation, set sag and re-check fastener torque and clearance through full suspension travel.

Serviceability/lifecycle

As a serviceable performance shock, periodic inspection and oil/gas service will help keep damping response consistent over time, particularly if the bike is used hard or infrequently stored.
