The Ohlins YA931 TTX RT is a rear shock absorber developed for the Yamaha YZF R1, built around Ohlins’ race-derived TTX architecture. It’s designed to deliver consistent damping behaviour and clear feedback as pace increases. This unit is a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated design intended for stable performance over demanding road and track use.

TTX RT shocks bring Ohlins’ twin-tube damping concept into a fitment-specific rear mono-shock package. The aim is controlled chassis movement with predictable grip, especially when the bike is being loaded and unloaded quickly through braking, turn-in and drive.

Tuning controls

Base setup (factory preset)

The YA931 is supplied with a factory baseline setting intended as a starting point. From there, adjust rebound and compression methodically to match your riding style and the bike’s overall chassis balance.

Before you install

Fitment is intended for Yamaha YZF R1 rear mounting. After installation, confirm sag and overall balance with the front end, then test changes one at a time to keep the setup process clear and repeatable.
