The Ohlins STX 46 Adventure rear shock is a direct-fit replacement for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200, aimed at improving control and consistency for adventure and touring use. Shock design & features

This is a monotube rear mono shock with oil and gas separated to support consistent damping during sustained riding. Tuning controls

This shock includes spring preload adjustment to set support for rider weight and load changes. Rebound damping adjustment is provided to control how quickly the shock extends after compression, affecting grip and stability. Compression damping adjustment is included to tune resistance to bump forces and manage chassis movement under acceleration and impacts.

Base setup (factory preset)

The factory baseline is intended as a balanced starting point for general adventure and touring riding. From there, adjusters allow you to account for typical load, road surface and riding style. Make changes methodically to keep front and rear behaviour in balance.
