The Ohlins BM851 STX 46 Street Shock Rear for BMW K 1200 LT is built to improve control and consistency for road-focused riding. Designed as a direct-fit rear mono shock, it provides a stable platform for touring and everyday use where predictable damping matters. Its gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated layout helps maintain damping behaviour as conditions and loads change.

Shock design & features

STX 46 Street rear mono shock architecture

Tuning controls

This shock includes rebound damping adjustment and compression damping adjustment, allowing you to fine-tune chassis behaviour for road conditions, load changes, and personal preference.

Base setup (factory preset)

Supplied with an Ohlins-fitted spring (01099-74). A factory baseline is intended as a starting point; final settings should be confirmed for your weight, typical luggage/passenger use, and riding style.

Before you install

Confirm model compatibility and rear mounting position before installation
After fitting, set sag and verify clearance through full suspension travel
