The Ohlins DU301 STX 46 Supersport rear shock is a direct-fit upgrade for Ducati 749 and 999 models, developed from Ohlins racing suspension architecture. It is built to provide consistent damping control and clear chassis feedback across road and track use. This unit uses a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated design to help maintain damping stability during sustained hard riding.

Tuning controls

This rear shock provides external damping adjustment for rebound and compression, allowing you to tune grip, support and ride feel to suit tyres, pace and conditions. Spring preload is adjustable to help set ride height and balance for your setup.

Base setup (factory preset)

The DU301 is supplied with an Ohlins base setting intended to suit the target Ducati platform as delivered. From that starting point, adjust preload first to establish balance, then refine rebound and compression to control chassis movement and maintain traction.

Before you install

Confirm fitment to your Ducati 749 or 999 model variant and check clearance around linkages and exhaust routing. If you are changing spring rate from the supplied spring, plan to re-check sag and damping balance after installation.

Serviceability/lifecycle

Like other Ohlins units, this shock is designed to be serviced and re-valved as required. Regular servicing helps maintain damping consistency and keeps wear items performing as intended over time.
