The Ohlins DU139 STX 46 Supersport rear shock is a bolt-on rear mono shock for the Ducati 999. It’s built around Ohlins’ track-focused damping architecture to deliver clear chassis feedback and consistent control under demanding riding. Designed as a gas-pressurised unit, it maintains stable damping behaviour through heat and repeated load changes.

Ohlins Supersport shocks are developed with a racing baseline, then refined for real-world trackday and fast-road use. The DU139 is intended to improve rear-end support, grip and stability while keeping the ride tuneable.

Ohlins valving strategy aimed at predictable traction and chassis control

Tuning controls

This shock includes external damping adjustments for rebound and compression, allowing you to tailor support and grip to tyres, pace and surface conditions. Spring preload adjustment is also provided for setting ride height and sag correctly.

Base setup (factory preset)

The DU139 is supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting intended to work as a starting point for the Ducati 999. From there, fine adjustments can be made to match your weight, tyres and intended use.

Before you install

Confirm the motorcycle model and year compatibility for Ducati 999 applications before fitting.
Set sag and preload before making damping changes, then adjust rebound and compression methodically.
If your current linkage or bearings are worn, address these first to get the best result from the shock.

Serviceability/lifecycle

As with other Ohlins performance units, periodic servicing helps maintain damping consistency and component life. Regular inspection is recommended if the bike sees track use or high heat cycles.
