Shock design & features

This is an STX 46 Street series rear mono shock with a gas-pressurised damping system. The design separates oil and gas to help maintain consistent damping performance as conditions change during a ride.

Tuning controls

This shock provides external damping adjustment for rebound. It also includes threaded spring preload adjustment to set ride height and sag to suit rider weight and load.

Base setup (factory preset)

The damping and spring specification are supplied by Ohlins for the intended application, with a fitted spring installed. Fine-tuning is then done via preload and rebound adjustment to match your rider weight, luggage and riding style.
