The Ohlins STX 46 Supersport rear shock for the Kawasaki GPZ 900 Racing is built for controlled damping performance under hard track use. It uses a gas-pressurised, separated oil/gas design to help maintain damping consistency as temperatures rise. The configuration supports precise tuning for traction, stability and mid-corner support.

Developed from Ohlins racing suspension architecture, STX 46 Supersport units focus on repeatable damping behaviour and predictable chassis feedback. This model is specified for GPZ 900 Racing applications with a 17 inch rear wheel.

Suited to riders using the GPZ 900 Racing in competition or track environments where consistent damping and clear feel are priorities. It’s also appropriate when you need a purpose-built rear mono shock rather than a general street replacement.

Shock design & features

This is an STX 46 Supersport rear mono shock with a pressurised design that separates gas from oil to reduce aeration and damping fade. The internal layout is intended to deliver stable damping response and strong control during braking, turn-in and corner exit.

Tuning controls

Adjustability includes rebound damping and compression damping, allowing you to balance support versus grip to suit track conditions and tyre behaviour. The adjustment range is intended for methodical setup changes rather than constant on-the-fly correction.

Before you install

Confirm fitment for the Kawasaki GPZ 900 Racing with a 17 inch rear wheel as noted. After installation, set sag and damping from a known baseline, then make one change at a time to validate results on track.

Serviceability/lifecycle
