The Ohlins TR750 STX 46 Supersport rear shock is built to improve control and consistency on the Triumph Thunderbird Sport. It uses a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated damping design to help keep damping performance stable as conditions change. With independent damping adjustments, it gives you a practical tuning range for street and spirited riding.

Developed from Ohlins road racing experience, the STX 46 Supersport platform focuses on predictable damping response and clear feedback. The aim is a planted rear tyre and controlled chassis behaviour without making setup unnecessarily complex.

Who this shock is for

Suited to riders who want more stability and feel from the rear of the bike, especially when pushing harder on the road. It is also a good fit if you want adjustability for different loads, tyres, and road conditions while keeping a dedicated model-specific unit.

Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised monotube rear shock with oil and gas kept separated to support consistent damping. The STX 46 Supersport architecture is intended to deliver controlled movement through the stroke and maintain traction during acceleration and transitions.

Tuning controls

The TR750 provides independent damping adjustment for compression and rebound. This lets you balance support and comfort on compression while controlling return speed on rebound to suit your riding style and surface conditions.

Before you install

Confirm the shock is intended for the Triumph Thunderbird Sport and rear mono fitment before installation.
After fitting, set sag correctly and then fine-tune compression and rebound in small steps.
Plan for periodic servicing to keep oil condition and internal wear under control over the shock’s lifecycle.
