This kit has been developed to adapt the Africa Twin's rear suspension to Australian conditions both on road and off.

Like many high end bikes the standard Showa shock is a solid foundation to work from with rebound and compression adjustability, as well as a hydralic preload adjuster. We felt it would be a crying shame to throw it away. The problem doesn't lie with the construction of the shock or with Showa's R&D. The problem is the bikes suspension needs to be inoffensive to all riders. This leaves it in a predicament, when you start taking it through ruts, washouts and corrigations the OEM settings can't keep up.

Our kit offers a substantial increase in damping both low and high speed throughout the entire stroke and includes a rebound separator assembly to ensure your rebound clicker doesn't interfear with you compression clicker and vice versa.

Included in this kit is:

  • A billet piston with an endless band and orings already installed
  • A shim stack developed for the Africa Twin
  • A pre-drilled rebound separator

This is not a DIY kit, there is no need to modify any of the included parts, however it is not a job for you if you've never serviced a shock absorber before. If you think you'd need more guidance than the instructions provided in the photo in the listing please have a local suspension specialist fit them for you.
