Looking to transform your Suzuki’s suspension for tough Australian trails? Our damping piston upgrade kit is designed to deliver a cost-effective boost for your shock absorber, optimized for our rugged terrain.

Unlike many others, this isn't an MX kit branded for your DRZ, because we know that's not what you're using it for. We've kept in mind the harsh conditions you'll be riding and have focused on handling corrugations, ruts, and runouts, while keeping it comfortable for tar stretches and ensuring you’re not left sore or needing a physio after your ride.

Add a 20-115 shock spring suited to your weight, and the difference will transform your bike!  use "Find your bike" in the black tab above and type in your rider weight with gear to get the right rate.

This is not a DIY kit for beginners. While this kit is easy to install for experienced suspension techs, if you've never de-peened a shock absorber shaft we wouldn't recommend you install this kit without guidance, as you could easily damage the rebound needle jet. If you're not sure, we'd advise you have your local suspension specialist fit it for you.

This kit includes the following parts:

  • A billet damping piston with a low friction graphite-filled endless band installed
  • Custom shim stacks developed especially for the DRZ 400
  • A pre-drilled rebound separator
