The Ohlins DMX1222 rear shock is an Ohlins TTX Flow DV unit developed for Yamaha YZ 450F fitment. It uses a twin-tube damping layout to keep damping response consistent through repeated hard use. Designed as a tunable rear mono shock, it targets controlled traction and stability without relying on vague, over-soft settings.

TTX Flow DV technology is built around stable damping behaviour and clear feedback at the rear tyre. The internal architecture focuses on controlled oil flow and consistent pressure management to support predictable handling as conditions and pace change.

Tuning controls

This shock provides external adjustment for compression damping and rebound damping, allowing you to balance chassis attitude, bump control and drive traction to suit track conditions and rider preference.

Before you install

Spring is not supplied; select from the spring series noted for this shock
Ohlins notes indicate a preload adjuster that fits this model
This unit replaces the previous DMX 0221 application

Serviceability / lifecycle

As a serviceable Ohlins competition shock, routine maintenance is recommended to keep damping consistency and seal performance. Use the recommended Ohlins shock oil specified for the unit during servicing.
