The Ohlins STX 46 Supersport rear shock for Ducati 1098S is built to deliver consistent damping control and clear chassis feedback under demanding road and track use. It uses a gas-pressurised layout to help maintain stable performance as temperatures rise. This unit is designed as a direct-fit rear mono shock for the 1098S.

Developed from Ohlins racing experience, the STX 46 Supersport platform focuses on predictable grip and support through braking, turn-in and corner exit. The design aims to improve stability without masking what the rear tyre is doing.

Shock design & features

This is a gas-pressurised rear shock built around the STX 46 Supersport concept, intended to reduce fade and maintain damping consistency during extended sessions. The internal architecture separates the damping functions to provide a stable, controlled feel across a wide range of conditions.

Tuning controls

Adjustment is provided for rebound damping and compression damping, allowing you to balance rear stability, traction and chassis attitude to suit tyres, pace and track surface.
