Our stage 1 DR650 upgrade kit is for those looking for a big upgrade on a budget. It's the most popular mod we do and many DR's have crossed Australia and been on world tours on this setup so it's no lightweight. We upgrade the fork and shock springs to suit your rider weight plus re-valve the shock and add in our world famous Platimum Valve. The result is better response - giving more damping and a spring set tailored to you.

You can either drop your shock and forks of at our shop (or mail them to us) or bring your bike in and we will do all the hard work.

Included:

  • 25-050-11 Platinum Valves
  • Fork Springs (tailored to your weight and riding conditions)
  • Shock Spring (tailored to your weight and riding conditions)
  • Shock Re-Valve and full rebuild. 
  • Fork Seals.

Depending on age and condition some consumables must be replaced. We don't charge any additional labour to replace consumables.

The new Platinum Valve (from our  original 2008 V4S design) to make the DR650 damper rod forks the best they can be. The graph below shows some of the results of the extensive testing we have done. We have added more compression damping throughout the entire range - taking out the wallowing feel commonly complained about in the stock suspension. More rebound damping is also added across the board.
