Suzuki DR650SE – Stage 1 Complete Suspension Workshop Upgrade

Our Stage 1 suspension upgrade provides a substantial improvement in the DR650's handling, comfort and control while retaining the original fork and rear shock assemblies.

Developed through extensive workshop testing, this package is designed for riders wanting reliable suspension performance without the expense of replacing the complete rear shock.

What's Included

Teknik Platinum Fork Valves – 25-050-11: Installation of our developed Platinum Valves to improve compression damping and fork control.
Fork Springs: Replacement springs matched to rider weight, luggage and intended riding conditions.
Teknik Rear Shock Upgrade Kit – 25-066-33: Installation of our dedicated shock piston and valving upgrade kit.
Shock Spring: Replacement spring selected to suit rider weight and intended use.
Complete Suspension Service: Strip, inspection, cleaning and reassembly of the forks and rear shock.
Fork Seals: Replacement fork oil seals included.
Suspension Dyno Testing: Verification of damping performance following the upgrade.

Teknik Platinum Valve Development

Our Platinum Valve has evolved from our original V4S design introduced in 2008. Using our suspension dynamometers, we have refined the valve to improve the performance of the DR650's conventional damper rod forks.

The revised damping provides greater compression control throughout the stroke, reducing the wallowing sensation commonly experienced with the standard suspension. Improved rebound damping also helps maintain stability and control over successive bumps.

The graph demonstrates the improvements achieved through our suspension development and testing.

Additional Parts & Installation

The quoted price excludes replacement of worn or damaged consumables and components, such as suspension bushes and shock bumpers, beyond those specifically listed above.

Additional parts required will be charged at component cost only, with no additional labour charges for their installation during the scheduled suspension upgrade.

Motorcycle Removal & Refit: The quoted price covers suspension work only. Removal and refitting of the suspension to the motorcycle is available for an additional $300 if required.
