The Ohlins DMX0106 STX 46 MX is a rear shock unit designed for KTM 85 SX fitment. Built around Ohlins motocross damping know-how, it focuses on consistent rear-wheel contact and predictable chassis behaviour across changing track conditions. Supplied without a spring, it’s intended to be matched with the correct rate for the rider and use.

Tuning controls

This shock provides external adjustment for compression and rebound damping, allowing you to tailor feel for track surface, grip level and rider preference. Spring preload is adjusted once the correct spring is fitted.

Base setup (factory preset)

The DMX0106 is supplied with an Ohlins baseline valving setup intended for KTM 85 SX applications. Final setup should be confirmed once the correct spring rate is installed and sag is set.

Serviceability/lifecycle
