The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for the Ducati Paul Smart is built to improve chassis control and tyre contact across real-world road riding. Its damping layout is derived from Ohlins race development, with a focus on predictable feedback and stability. Gas pressurisation helps maintain consistent damping behaviour as conditions change.

STX 46 Street units are engineered for riders who want a disciplined, controlled feel rather than an overly firm ride. On the Paul Smart, this style of rear shock targets improved traction and composure through corners and under braking.

Base setup (factory preset)

This shock is supplied with an Ohlins spring fitted (00698-90) and is intended to be installed and ridden with the factory baseline as a starting point. From there, small changes to compression and rebound can be used to match road surface, load, and rider preference.
