Information

The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for the Ducati Monster S4R is built to deliver consistent damping control and clearer chassis feedback in everyday road riding and fast street use. It uses a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated design to help maintain stability when the pace picks up. Damping circuits are designed to provide predictable traction and braking support without making the bike feel harsh.

Ohlins | Made to race, perfected to ride

Developed from Ohlins race program experience and adapted for street conditions, the STX 46 Street platform focuses on control, grip and composure. The aim is more usable feedback through the rear tyre and improved balance through corners and direction changes.

Shock design & features

Gas-pressurised architecture with oil/gas separation for stable damping performance
Race-derived internal valving strategy intended to support traction and chassis control
Designed as a rear mono shock application for the Ducati Monster S4R

Tuning controls

Rebound damping adjustment to control how quickly the shock extends after bumps and load changes
Compression damping adjustment to manage support under acceleration, braking and sharper road inputs

Base setup (factory preset)

This shock is supplied with an Ohlins base setting intended as a starting point for street riding. Fine-tuning rebound and compression can then be used to suit rider preference, road surface, tyre choice and riding load.

Before you install

Confirm the application is correct for your Monster S4R and check overall clearance around the shock and linkage
Set sag and ride height as part of installation, then adjust damping in small steps to maintain balance front-to-rear
If your bike sees track days or frequent spirited riding, plan a periodic service schedule to keep damping consistent
