The Ohlins MG142 STX 36 Twin rear shock set is built for the Moto-Guzzi Le Mans 1000 in a rear twin configuration. It focuses on consistent damping control and predictable chassis behaviour for road use. Designed as a dedicated fitment, it’s intended to deliver stable, controlled response through a wide range of riding conditions.

Ohlins STX technology is developed from competition suspension principles, refined for real-world street riding. The goal is controlled wheel movement and reliable feedback without harshness, helping the bike stay composed when the pace rises.

Shock design & features

STX 36 Twin design for rear twin-shock applications
Gas-pressurised damping system to help maintain consistency as conditions change
Supplied with an Ohlins fitted spring (00480-02)

Tuning controls

This unit is described with independent compression and rebound damping circuits, allowing the suspension to be tuned for ride comfort, support and grip. Adjustment range and settings are rider- and application-dependent and should be approached methodically, one change at a time.
