The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock is a purpose-built replacement unit for the Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit, designed to improve damping control and chassis stability in real-world road riding. Its monotube architecture helps deliver consistent behaviour as conditions change. This is a fully serviceable Ohlins unit intended for riders who want a more controlled, tuneable rear end.

Developed from Ohlins racing experience and adapted for street use, this rear shock focuses on predictable feedback, traction and stability. It is aimed at riders who value controlled suspension movement rather than a harsh ride.

Monotube rear shock for rear mono applications
Oil and gas are separated for damping consistency
Serviceable construction to support long-term ownership

Tuning controls

Rebound damping adjustment for controlling return speed after bumps and corner loads
Compression damping adjustment for managing support under acceleration, braking and sharp-edged impacts
Hydraulic spring preload adjuster for convenient ride height and sag changes

Base setup (factory preset)

This shock is supplied with an Ohlins baseline valving and spring configuration intended to suit the standard fitment and typical street use. Final setup should be matched to your weight, tyres and riding style.

Before you install

Confirm overall condition of linkage bearings and swingarm pivots before fitting any new shock
Set sag and preload first, then fine-tune rebound and compression to suit your road surfaces
After installation, re-check fastener torque and ensure full clearance through suspension travel
