The Ohlins STX 46 Street rear shock for the Suzuki M 1500 is built for riders who want more control and consistency from the rear end in everyday road use. It uses a monotube layout aimed at maintaining stable damping feel over changing road surfaces and loads. Adjustment is provided for rebound damping to help you balance comfort, grip and chassis attitude.

Who this shock is for

Suited to Suzuki M 1500 riders who want a more planted rear wheel over bumps, better composure through corners, and suspension feel that can be tuned to rider preference. It’s also a solid option if you regularly change loads (solo to luggage/passenger) and want a setup you can dial in.

Shock design & features

This is an STX monotube rear shock with a separated oil/gas arrangement to help keep damping consistent during sustained use. The architecture is intended to reduce aeration and maintain control when the shock is working hard over uneven roads.

Tuning controls

Rebound damping adjustment is provided, letting you control how quickly the shock extends after a bump or weight transfer. This can be used to improve traction and stability, and to match the rear response to tyre choice, riding style and typical road conditions.

Before you install

Confirm your current ride height and clearance needs before changing settings.
After installation, check sag and rebound balance so the bike remains composed under braking, corner entry and acceleration.
If you’re unsure on baseline settings for your weight and load, plan a setup session so the adjuster range is used effectively.
