The Ohlins TR907 STX 46 Street rear shock is built to improve control, comfort and chassis stability on the Triumph Speed Triple. It uses Ohlins’ proven STX architecture to deliver consistent damping feel across varied road conditions. The design is intended to give clear feedback and predictable response when you change pace or surface.

STX 46 Street shocks are developed from Ohlins’ performance suspension experience, tuned for real-world riding. The focus is on usable damping control and stability, without making the bike harsh or nervous.

Shock design & features

This is an oil/gas separated monotube rear shock, helping maintain damping consistency during longer or harder rides. The STX layout is designed to manage heat and oil flow in a stable way, supporting predictable behaviour through repeated bumps and load changes.

Tuning controls

The TR907 provides external damping adjustment for rebound and compression, allowing you to tailor how the rear settles after bumps and how it supports the bike under load. It also includes length adjustment to help fine-tune rear ride height and chassis balance.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shock is supplied with an Ohlins baseline setting from the factory as a starting point for the Triumph Speed Triple application. From there, you can refine damping to suit your tyres, riding style and typical roads.

Before you install

  • Confirm the supplied spring is suitable for your typical riding load.
  • Check clearance around the reservoir and ensure all fasteners are installed and torqued to the motorcycle manufacturer’s requirements.
  • After installation, re-check ride height and damping settings once the bike has been test ridden.

Serviceability/lifecycle

As with all performance shocks, periodic servicing helps maintain damping quality and seal life. Ohlins units are rebuildable, so performance can be refreshed rather than replacing the shock when wear accumulates.
