The Ohlins YA145 STX 36 Twin rear shocks are built to suit the Yamaha XJR 400 with a focus on controlled damping and predictable chassis behaviour. This pair is designed as a street-oriented twin-shock replacement with Ohlins’ proven internal architecture. It is a gas-charged design for consistent damping under sustained use.

Ohlins suspension units are engineered to deliver stable, repeatable damping and clear feedback at the tyre contact patch. The aim is improved control through corners, under braking, and during acceleration without compromising ride quality on real roads.

Tuning controls

This unit includes rebound damping adjustment to tailor the return speed of the rear suspension after bumps and load changes. Spring preload is adjustable to set ride height and sag for the rider and typical luggage/passenger use.

Base setup (factory preset)

The shocks are supplied with a factory baseline intended as a starting point for standard road use. Fine-tuning is typically done by setting sag with preload first, then adjusting rebound to suit road surface grip and rider preference.
