The Ohlins YA243 STX 46 Supersport rear shock is designed to give the Yamaha YZF 750 SP a controlled, predictable rear end under hard use. Shock design & features

This is an oil/gas separated shock design to support consistent damping during repeated high-load cycles. The STX architecture separates functions within the damper to deliver a more controlled response through the stroke and improve feel at the tyre contact patch.

Tuning controls

The YA243 provides external rebound damping adjustment and external compression damping adjustment to fine-tune balance and grip. It also includes length adjustment to help set ride height and chassis attitude without relying solely on spring preload changes.

Before you install

  • Confirm clearance and hose/reservoir routing (where applicable) and ensure the adjusters remain accessible once fitted.
  • Set sag and baseline damping after installation, then change one parameter at a time during testing.
