The Ohlins YA518 STX 46 Street rear shock is a replacement unit designed for Yamaha Crypton applications where consistent damping control and ride stability matter. Built around Ohlins road-focused STX architecture, it is intended to improve tyre contact and chassis composure during everyday street use. This is a rear mono shock supplied with a fitted spring.

Ohlins street shocks are developed from the same core damping principles used in competition, adapted for real-world road surfaces. The focus is predictable response, repeatable performance and a balanced ride rather than harshness.

Shock design & features

This unit uses a gas-pressurised, oil/gas separated design to help maintain damping consistency as temperatures and workload change. The STX 46 Street layout is engineered to provide controlled movement through the stroke and stable support under braking and acceleration loads.

Tuning controls

The shock provides rebound damping adjustment, allowing you to tailor how quickly the rear returns after bumps and weight transfer. This helps you balance comfort, grip and stability to suit your riding and road conditions.
