Motorcycle Shock Spring Retainer & Bump Stop Parts

At the bottom end of a motorbike's shock absorber there needs to be a way to attach the coil spring to the shock shaft - and this assembly needs to hold the bottoming rubber safely in place too.

A holder cup around the main shaft holds the conical bumper, with a spring lock ring (shaped like a big c-clip) sat on top to retain the spring and keep it concentric around the damper. Many shocks include a spring perch seat on top of the locking clip to make sure the pressure is evenly distributed, and this can also act as a spacer washer to adjust preload.

We sell this complete collection of components individually so that you can tune how your bike's coilover bottoms out over a huge range of sizes.
