MX and Offroad Suspension

When you’re on the track, you need to have a dirt bike suspension setup that you can rely on. Motool has just made it that much easier to check your sag with the invention of the Slacker Digital Suspension Tuner.

It’s important to note that you should always try to maintain your motocross suspension as best as you can. This will allow your bike to stay in good condition so that you can ride freely without any complications. Be sure to attend to your motocross suspension every so often. We recommend having the suspension serviced every 20-30 hours of riding.

A balanced bike is key in motocross racing. Our Slacker Digital Suspension Tuner is compatible with both iOS and Android. The Slacker V4 includes Bluetooth capabilities so that you are covered no matter where you are.

Adventure Bike Suspension

Sag adjustments are crucial no matter what kind of bike you’re riding, but they’re especially important for ADV bikes. ADV bike riders know that harsh on- and off-road conditions can really change how you perform. Adventure bike suspension can sometimes be difficult to achieve and maintain, but with the Slacker Digital Suspension Tuner V4, balancing your ADV bike is easy.

With the Slacker tool, you will save time, energy, and money. This adventure bike suspension tool allows you to stay informed of your sag while on the road without needing assistance.

The V4 includes Bluetooth capabilities that are completely unique to the Slacker V4. Simply connect to Bluetooth to use your phone as a remote and save measurements through the free Service Assistant App app on your smartphone.

Why is setting sag on off-road bikes so important?

Modern motocross bike setup is based on the bike sitting at a particular height and posture with the rider mounted, regardless of the weight of the rider. This means that every rider needs to measure the rider sag and adjust the spring preload so the bike handles properly. In some cases it may be necessary to get heavier or softer springs which can easily be determined by looking at your static sag measurement once your rider sag is set. It is critical to check sag regularly and adjust for different conditions. Even if you have no experience setting up motorcycle suspension, this sag tool makes it super fast and easy to make sure your bike is setup properly and keeps you fast, safe and having fun! With just a couple of simple measurements, you can get your spring preload dialed in and verify if you have the right spring rates installed. Just use our Service Assistant mobile app for recommended settings and tips.

How often should I check my sag?

With dirt bikes we recommend checking it every ride and adjust to find the perfect setting for any given condition. For faster conditions run a little extra sag for stability and for the tight stuff run a little less for better steering. Remember, as springs, bushings and fluids break in the sag will change and your body weight does vary up to 8 pounds during a day.

Do I need to service my motocross bikes suspension?

Yes, you should get the suspension serviced at least every 20-30 hours of riding. As the fluids break down and bushings and seals wear, the suspension will start to perform poorly. Also remember to grease any linkage, pivot points and shock mount points whenever you service the suspension.
